Dr. Mays decided to change careers from ecologist to chiropractor due to her experiences as a yoga teacher. She wanted to interact with and become more involved in the health of people rather than spending most of her days in a lab. A surprising choice perhaps for someone who was nervous every time she was about to ‘be cracked’, despite receiving noticeable benefits from chiropractic treatment.
Dr. Mays graduated from the University of Western States in Portland, OR in 2012. She enjoys working with the whole family, and treating the whole person. Her mission is to give patients the tools & support they need to live their best life; so don’t be surprised to leave the office with some homework consisting of simple at home exercises or lifestyle modifications that can help amplify your results from in-office chiropractic care. Dr. Mays’s chiropractic interests are yoga as therapy, new mothers, and TMJ dysfunction.
When she’s not helping patients achieve their health goals, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Daniel and their Labrador Retriever, Mayson. Her favorite ways to spend free time are hiking, gardening, creating healthy food, and continuing her decade-long yoga practice.
